Who is Dominique Goh?

Hi everyone,
Thanks for checking out my profile page here on Savy Hip Parenting. I created this network in bid to start up a community of parents which I can interact freely on a regular basis.

About Me
I'm an elementary school teacher here in Singapore who is currently on childcare leave to take care of my two little monsters. I do freelance writing and am learning how to do graphic designing/website creation.

With my limited self-thought skills I have designed two travel websites

Best Budget Travel Cebu- Accommodations and tour packages to Cebu, Phillipines

Best Budget Travel Cagayan- Accommodations and tour packages to Cagayan de Oro, Phillipines.

I'm also learning my way through internet marketing and journal my marketing attempt on my Marketing blog - JARD

I write frequently on my parenting blog- From Dominique's Desk where i share my personal parenting tips, the fun activities the boys and I did and the latest product and services reviews for kids & parents.

Kids making Kids- 13 year old dad

Today I was utterly shocked to read about a 13 year old boy in UK who became a father when his 15yr old girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl.

You can read the story here at The Sun (UK). It not only shows how morality and virtues have declined in the United Kingdom and how lax their parents have been in installing values and knowledge in their kids.

Kids doing the "disappearing act"

Last weekend I had a great shock when a friends son suddenly went missing during a gathering. We were leaving the place and were waiting for the lift to the car park. I didn't realised that my friend W's elder boy had sneaked out of the house and went down the lift himself. I was shocked when I saw him standing in the lobby leading to the car park on his own without his parents. I asked him what he was doing there and he said that he was waiting for his parents to come down.

Holiday Decorating with the Kids

Involving your children with the decorating is fun for them and it helps you out. This is a great way to spend time with them and enjoy their company.

Children love to help in any way they can. Even if it’s just a matter of them telling you where to put the lawn ornaments and tell you how the lights should go on the house. When you let kids help, they feel special.
